When turmoil becomes trauma. When there is pain. When there is growth. There must be conversation.
My Black Is Beautiful needed to find a way to address the events taking place outside our doors, throughout our neighborhoods, and around the world. A place for ugly conversations, support, and action.
A place for black progress. In order to feel safe, seen, and loved, we must define ourselves.
The challenge to tackle was finding a way to present the truth, ensuring that the message is clear:
Black Lives Matter.
So we broke down in order to have a break through. We understood that by positioning My Black Is Beautiful as a collective, we had the opportunity to tap into knowledge and applicable resources. We intended for this approach to empower the My Black Is Beautiful community and encourage change.
